For restoring natural leather shoes or dying raw hide, crust leather or veg tanned leather, can also be used to restore the colour on crusts and veg tanned items, like shoes and handbags:
Ensure the surface is dry and prepared correctly and free of dirt, grime, debris, and dust. Do not over apply the dyes as they are powerful, rub off the majority of the dye that’s loaded into the sponge. Then apply in a circular motion with a sponge or pad and ensure this is rubbed in properly and then levelled out with straight line if required you need to avoid lines and streaks, once cured and dried you can seal over with neutral shoe restorer cream or antique silk dressing or both. For extra strength you can use clear coat lacquers with a crosslinker added to make the clear coat even more durable.
