Perfect for use on Handbags and Leather Clothing. The Suede Leather Cleaner being a water based product is safe to use and adds moisture to keep all leathers soft and supple, helps stop leathers from breaking down quicker. Because suede and nubuck are unprotected this means all the dirt and grime absorbs into the leather rather than being settled on the surface like a pigment coated leather.

Always test in a small hidden area first. Before you start to use any products on suede or nubuck leather its best to carry out a small quick test to see if you do actually have suede or nubuck leather.

Instructions

Apply the suede leather cleaner 250ml onto a soft sponge or spray directly onto the suede being careful not to over wet the surface, and clean in a circular motion lifting all dirt away as you go, for heavily engrained suede with grease and grime use a suede brush to agitate the grease to lift this out of the suede fibres,  as you clean each section use a soft clean cloth to gently go over the surface to remove all dirt correctly.

Because suede is unprotected this means all the dirt and grime absorbs into the leather rather than being settled on the surface like a pigment coated leather.

Do not rub your suede leather too hard, the suede leather cleaner will help provide your suede leather with a silky soft luxurious feel again.

With suede and nubuck leather and other types of leathers that are absorbent, they soak up liquids and body oils very quickly, so its best to protect them from new.

The best advice we can provide with suede and nubuck leather is to clean with a suede brush this allows you to get into the grain structure of the suede leather providing a better cleaning action as the surface is not sealed in any way.

The suede and nubuck leather will go darker as you clean this is natural as the material is soaking up the cleaner, let this dry naturally then clean a second time.

You may find with suede and nubuck leather that it requires two or three cleans to get the perfect result.

Allow the suede or nubuck leather to naturally dry.

Suede and Nubuck Care

Suede and Nubuck leather is a natural leather with a buffed surface, nubuck will still have characteristics still remaining visible if you look closely enough, whereas suede is a drop split on the flesh side and is buffed to hide scar tissue and faults and is a much weaker leather than nubuck, nubuck is predominantly the top grain leather sanded to hide slight imperfections. Suede and Nubuck leather have no additional pigments to protect it, and has no protection on the surface, so it’s open to the elements of daily use.

Its a beautiful feeling leather like a silky feel to it and requires a great deal of care, dusting regularly. Using the suede cleaner often will help keep your leather clean and looking new.

Suede and Nubuck require brushing on a  regular basis, in particular around cuffs and collars on jackets or handles on handbags, pockets on jacket and trousers.

Do not rub your sued and nubuck leather if you spill something, gently dab the leather with a damp cloth, not too wet, allow to dry naturally.

Clean regularly to help keep your aniline leather looking new.

Apply a spray protection, with suede and nubuck leather its advised you apply several coats of protection as the first coat will be partly absorbed by the leather.
