This course covers all aspects of upholstery work, starting off with a foot stool and ending up with a full chair or car seat.
Learn all about tools, materials, equipment to get you started.
Learn the basics of upholstery like webbing, spring replacements, foams, stuffing and the correct tack applications.
We will teach you correct methods for measuring up and making patterns and cutting out your fabrics.
You will learn how to remove covers from car seats and furniture. Take patterns, replace panels and put this back in using original clips, knowing how to make this tight without creasing.
Learn how to replace piping correctly including rolled edges, along with cutting and applying hessian to furniture and black base fabrics.
Making sure folds are done correctly and the fabrics are cut in the correct way so folds can be done and made secure for years to come.
